SCOTTSDALE, AZ (KPHO/KTVK) –
A Scottsdale jewelry store was ransacked by thieves who stole up to $100,000 worth of items in just a matter of minutes.
Native Traditions is a shop that’s been in Old Town Scottsdale for 30 years and this is the first time thieves have broken in.
The shop is filled with expensive Native American jewelry and art. Most of the items are one-of-a-kind pieces that can’t be replaced.
Shop owner Sue Amireh says it’s a huge hit to the business.
“You just feel like you’re invaded. Your privacy is invaded. You don’t feel safe,” Amireh said.
The thieves broke through the glass window in the front of the store and used some kind of rope to attach it to a pickup truck they were using.
They managed to rip the frame of the door completely out and ran inside to get what they wanted.
“Very scary. Just don’t expect it here,” Amireh said.
Luckily, the store is equipped with several cameras so they were able to get the entire heist on camera.
Scottsdale police officers are investigating and the store is offering a $2,000 reward for any information that can help lead to an arrest.
This was put on by dumb fucks for sure. Who the hell steals native american jewelry? It is silver and turquoise!
